Siri Fully ported to iPod Touch and iPhone 4!

Siri is officially out for the iPhone 4s few weeks ago… there has been attempts to port siri to the iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch. The port was functional but wasn’t able to talk to apple’s server. Now, Troughton-Smith has followed up with Chpwn to get the server fully working on an iPhone 4 and iPod touch.

Here is a video of siri working on the iPhone 4 :

And here it is working on the iPodTouch 4G :

The developers  @stroughtonsmith and chpwn have said that there will be “no public release soon” and not to ask. A public release also seems unlikely due to the legal issues in repackaging Apple’s code and distributing it.

Update: We’ve heard from stroughtonsmith that despite it working on the iPod Touch, it doesn’t work entirely well due to the relatively poor performance of the Mic. “You have to be loud and close to it”. The iPhone 4, however, does work well.

iPad 2 Jailbroken on iOS 5

MuscleNerd and the Dev Team have just released a very brief  video showing that they have jailbroken the iPad 2 on iOS 5. A ton of people want this jailbreak really bad, the problem is with the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S there are different components in which actually make it harder for them to jailbreak.

It is reported that many of the jailbreak developers have started to make a jailbreak on the devices but, MuscleNerd has shown that his is a success in the video below. With that, do remember that this is probably not the final version, even then they may be waiting to release an untethered instead of tethered and then untethered.

We know you are eager to get your iOS 5 devices jailbroken. They are one step closer but, with the new chip and other things they have to do some extra things in order to make the jailbreak work successfully. I cannot wait myself and you are to probably eager for the jailbreak but, please remember to respect the developers and let them finish on their own times.
